A few thoughts of why we are not so active with our NASA programs today:

When the total bill for the Iraq Oil War is tallied - including the 60 years of veteran care - we could have sent 80 million Americans to college on a four year scholarship - even with the present cost to date (Jan/2012) we could have sent over 100 Million Americans to college for a full year.

With our incredibly successful War On Drugs we have managed to put over a million people in jail, 4/5th of which are in there for petty drug charges. We continue to destroy countries in South America and around the world with this fantastically successful War on Drugs which we have engaged in for about 40 years now.

We continue with the Reagan policies of giving tax incentives for our corporations to move off shore for as Ronald Reagan said "We need to remain competitive".

We allow corporate "individuals" to split up into separate groups - move their profit centers to countries like Dubai and keep their loss centers here in the US so they pay no taxes.

The largest drug seller in the US pays no taxes in the US - they have a small offshore location.

And you wonder why we are easy off the technology investment?

We have idiots that believe only private enterprise should undertake what is best done by a group effort - but the mere idea of a "group effort" makes them puke.

Our politicians are required by us to spend 80% of their time refilling their coffers and we blame them for being sellouts? Yet if any CEO were gone 80% of the time we would consider that completely unacceptable (though we would probably pay them 500 times the average wage).

It is amazing we are still the number one world power - at some point the insanity will ebb - the question is whether it is because of self-effort or happenstance - I cannot image anything but happenstance - and if that is the route we continue on - lets just hope the cake-eaters die soon.

For two triumphant years we have heard nothing from the Democrats but followership!

After 8 years of Bush Jr. - and silence for all that time - followed by 2 more years of silence and followership, it is truly time to begin another tack entirely.

It is time to dismantle the Democrats - destroy the fabric of the party and perhaps destroy it for good - let it die off like so many parties from our past that live only in the history books.

Given the Corporate abilities to purchase ever increasing clout and the new speaker of the House - John Bohner - who has pledged to "beat Obama" (and he will succeed) we cannot allow our votes to continue supporting this group of utter wimps.

It is no longer possible to give the Democrats even one more inch - for 10 years - 10 very harsh and horrible years, the Democrats have been the kid who gets beaten up by the bullies and keeps going back - never ever fighting back, always retreating and with unending patience, never helping out their best and brightest.

Go to your meetings and throw out the leaders that are emerging - they are part of the disease!

If they cannot tell you in one minute devastating information about the Republicans,
devastating information about Ronald Reagan as well as Bush Jr. - toss them out on the street!

If they cannot tell you fantastic facts about progressives in one minute - run them out of town and do not give them the time of the day!

Take every book you have of George Lakeoff and burn it - know that he and the current Democrats could not frame a picture of their own mother if their life depended on it!

If you are a true Republican you will have become an Independent, for the spending, lies and utter disregard for our constitution by those calling themselves Republicans has forced the true Republican to leave and wash their hands of the patina of scum that has circumvented that party.

If you are a true Democrat, you will have to walk away from this dimness, this lack of life and paralyzing fear that has put this party on its death bed in hopeless despair and weakness for fear of its shadow - and not even its own real shadow, but a shadow it has allowed to be drawn by its opposition. This once proud stallion is now festered with maggots and has no prognosis for recovery.

Predatory Religions

At one point or another the United States needs to deal with predatory religions.
I define this predation as religions from whose leadership we hear a calling for the death/assassination of someone, the calling of a religious war against another religion, and an utter intolerance to critical observation.

If this calling is in the writings of the religion it must be removed from the text and denounced in its teaching here in the United States. A clear departure from teachings must be made and maintained.

It is already well known that the consequence for making cartoons or writing books against some religions can lead to a price being put on ones head and death (not just the threat of death).
The United States cannot tolerate as some joke the likes of Pat Robertson when he calls for assassinating someone, without the realization that it is no longer a religion, it is a political party – or worse: an army of one with a million+ automatons raging behind it.

Religious intolerance is often overplayed from the other side and whole nations placate the extremists in the name of “a free and open culture”. We cannot forget that being killed by extremists for exercising our most basic freedoms is completely unacceptable and it must have immediate consequences.

If we add to the rules whereby a religion can loose its tax-exempt status the above clause regarding a call for death/assassination, I think we can create a powerful tool for restraint. The very practice of restraint tends to teach wisdom and squelch hot headedness. I think it would also be easy to install this new rule and remove their tax-exempt status while encountering little legal challenge.

Our country must protect its freedoms of speech, the freedoms of religions to practice and the freedom from bullies, killers, and Madmen.

I have said nothing of any particular religion - nor should the Democrats mention any particular religion in the debate. This is about our freedom and it is about our way of life – we cannot be worried that the customs and beliefs of other regions find our freedoms unrestrained and perhaps even godless.

A great many of the customs in other regions of the world are abhorrent to us yet common in their cultures.

The Democratic Party is eunuch.

The hopeless opposite of the Republican party.

Both are subsidiaries of the Corporatocracy.

I suggest taking a close look at members of any party and voting for those you like and that have a chance to win and a good chance of holding their ground.

It has been said that "if you intend to take the high road in Washington, you will find the traffic very light".

I have not given up on Democrats, but as a group, they have dispersed and fear their own shadows. Leadership is something they shun, they are ungrounded - vacillating - sleep walker's.

If you find an individual - vote for them if they have a chance - help them to have a chance.

In the coming elections we will see an abrupt end to politics as we know it. The Republicans will storm the house and it will be ugly - even uglier than what we see now and in the past retched Bush Jr. administration.

The new finance laws have undercurrents that the coastal Dems have not grasped.
And let face it - they have not grasped much in 10 years.

Before the Independents can affect a change for the better - the fix will be in and it will cement for some time the retched changes put in place by the previous All Republican thievery.

I hope I see us come out of the abyss we have decided upon as a nation.
It is my great hope that we come out of it in my lifetime, but I do not think we will recover in the 30 to 40 years that I hope I have left.

I fear "Civil War" though nothing civil will be a part of it.

Listen to the sounds coming out of the mouths of our sleeping robot "leaders", our singularly owned media groups. Look up the stats on Gun and Ammunition sales - the manufacturers cannot keep up with demand - the greatest demand in our history.

As a nation we are armed to the teeth with stupidity and bullets - our reactionary mind is well exercised in reflexive stupidity, requiring no need for contemplation and resourceful deliberation.

We sit on plenty of fuel and oxygen and the ignition will be coming aplenty in the not to distant future. The arrogance of the Republican party - the self righteous and brattish "patriotism" and diseased religiosity - do not be surprised if the result is violent.

We are about to descend into the second dip of this recession/depression.

Republicans always want something for nothing.

Republicans love their reputation as fiscal conservatives while in fact they spend money like drunken lottery winners. Reagan broke all previous records, increasing the National Debt by 700% - then Bush Jr. came along and outspent Reagan by over 400%!
Republicans are not interested in spending any money on things that will actually help the government - it is in their interest to destroy our government programs and services and show us that Big Government doesn't work. They are doing a great job!

Republicans love their reputation as "the ones you want in power when a war is on or about to happen". The Iraq war and the Afghanistan war were about the worst run wars in our history and definitely the most expensive. On a per dollar basis or a benefit per life basis - the Republicans are the top choice of our enemies! Yet - we give them the status as "the best for the job" with no argument - after all - we are chatting and pointing but the last thing we would ever do is frame a subject. Democrats agree - Republicans are the best for the job!

The "upper 2%" was never framed by the Democrats and some 17 to 19% of the voters in the 2004 election thought they were in the upper 2% - believing that they were benefiting from the HUGE tax cuts that the Bush Jr and all Republican administration gave to this group.

With an average income of only $118,000 PER Month or a minimum of $20,000 per month at the low end and around 80,000 per hour at the high end - we would all have to agree that this 2% is the group that deserved a tax break - particularly at the outset of 2 wars.
Good job Republicans for watching out for the "self made" man!

Democrats used to like good public schools - I don't know what they like anymore - (the theme here is "I have no clue who the Democrats are anymore - get that - they chat and point and do nothing - great victims though - really - great victims!)

It was a decade of many false gods and all of them were tied to greed.

The God of the web - for some reason a business did not need to make money or even have a plan to make money and the heads of the company seemed most likely to succeed if they still had acne. While this madness was mainly part and parcel of the last decade - it did tip over into this decade, and it's proximity to the next excessive madness is amazing.

We came off that crash with a resounding shake of our heads - "what the hell were they thinking"

By 2003 it became clear that Real Estate was the only safe haven and as our Realtor's would point out: "You can't lose on Real Estate - (in the long run)". Most of the time the words in the long run were not actually said aloud and in most cases the Realtor's and other Real Estate salespeople had no concept of motivating thought in a purchase, let alone history - signing was the main concern. (need we point out that having a Real Estate license does not require so much as a high school diploma - though Real Estate purchases are typically the biggest purchase that we make in our lives).
Creative lending made all kinds of sense - you sold off the mortgage contracts as soon as they came in and made a pile - leaving it to the banks and overseas investors. While the World Bank was screaming at the US in 2003 for allowing Fannie Mae to be leveraged to the tune of 78 to 1, it didn't even make BJ (Bush Jr.) blink - what else did he have going besides a war and lunatic spending?!

Bush Jr. decided that spending money in a fashion not dissimilar to Reagan would be a great idea - after-all - most people are not aware that Reagan increased the national debt by 700% so why worry about that - "everyone knows that the democrats are the spenders".

Bush Jr. spent some 13.5 trillion dollars, taking us from a nation with a 3.5 trillion dollar surplus left over from the Clinton administration, to a Debtor Nation with a national debt of over 10 trillion dollars - quite a republican accomplishment - (who else but a republican spends that kind of money - know one in history - that's who! - Reagan is the only one ever remotely close).

Now we have the Bush train-wreck & recession.

Here we are at the brink of the double dip.
It's 10/15/09 and we are already in it.

80% of economists think we are coming out of the recession - it reminds me of Dick Cheney - whatever he said - the opposite is going to happen - its become clockwork! (talk about out of touch Latte Sippin Elite's!)

Not convinced - you are probably a home owner and still clinging to your cool-aid.

Good god folks - homes did not hit bottom in the SF area until 1994 after the Reagan recession which began in 1989. (do you actually believe this is not about 10 times worse?)

Obama inherited the Bush Trainwreck just as he took office - the US was already in the Emergency Room. The vast majority of this years expenses were already in place - Spending originated by Obama has be fairly moderate given all the tubes running in and out of the hemmoraging body laying on the stretcher. And yet, we are already hearing all across the land of the massive spending by the Liberals, Communist behavior, Socialism is on the march - has everyone in the US lost their minds? (obviously - the real question is "Can anyone clear their head and see both the forest and the trees again?").

We are going in for the double dip due to very low blood pressure. The patient - the body of citizens know as the United States - has a great deal of de-leveraging to do. Time will be the only healer outside of the invention of an anti-gravitation machine or some other extreme anamoly.

We have an abundance of new cars - they need to age before we really need to purchase more of them (the auto industry has accounted for 4.5% of our economy in the past - it will be quite dead for some time).

We have an abundance of homes, town houses, condos and vacation properties. The largest group of retirees in our history are entering the retired years and downsizing their homes for cheap properties in the South - adding to the glut.

Homes in our most affluent areas - generally all the so called Blue states - still have about a mile to fall in price - Rule of Thumb - historically even the best areas have no more than a 5 to 1 value of the average income and the average home price. Eg: if the average income is 100,000 the average home price should be around 500,000 (yea - prices in your neighborhood have a long way to go to the bottom, if not, your in an outlying area where the prices have already dropped to the 3 to 1 and below levels that are the historic ratios in the mid portions of the US).

The current cost to purchase a home requires about 35% down in the still desirable areas and you have to prove you actually have a good income with a ratio of about 26% with a mortgage.
Why not 20% down?

These are the people we so vaguely have called "the upper 2%". The Cake Eater's also include Corporations - their ability to monopolize and their ownership of our public officials is nothing short of captivating.

Ronald Reagan dispised activist college grads and ended free University in California when he was Govenor - (latte sippin elite's!)

Ronald Reagan hated Unions and fair wages - for that matter - he even created tax breaks for companies that wanted to move offshore! He started the exodus of our manufacturing base. This is not to say that it would not gravitate offshore on its own, but Regan stimulated movement offshore - he encouraged it!

We are not at the beginning of a recovery!

It is OK that we say we are recovering and speak positively - but make no mistake - the crust of the country has only just begun its adjustment. (The crust is defined as all areas within 100 miles of the coasts and 100 miles of any major waterway - this area contains 96% of the countries wealth, all the best colleges and the vast majority of intellectual property)
Real Estate has barely started to adjust and credit card debt and negative savings rates have yet to take their bite.

In the Great Depression we saw a huge market crash followed by a recovery of 50% in relatively short order followed by an 85% drop. Then and only then did the Kool-Aid wear off.

Nothing points to really significant health in our system at the present time and home values in the crust have barely adjusted if we consider historic ratios of income to average cost of a home.
Incomes are falling in the crust areas - they are near 1998 averages and still going down, yet home prices are no where near 1998 levels.

We are entering a deflationary period. If you still own a home that is underwater in these areas, it will just get deeper - hand back the keys - grow your cash - rents will fall along with home prices.

If you are making monthly payments of lets say $8,000 per month (mortgage and credit cards) and you walk out on them, you can easily rent a nice home for 2500 a month or less and put $5,500 in the bank. If walking out on you debts leaves you with no car - the $5,500 per month in savings will buy you a good used one quickly.

If you feel ashamed for walking out on your debts - look at it another way - you were swimming around in the big pond and suddenly you found a hook in your mouth - and while you were the one that bit the hook, you were also the one who was pulled out into the air and put on the plate and you were the one they put up on the plaque. The home sellers got 6% for doing next to nothing and the mortgage brokers another 1.5 - 2% for the financing. On a $600,000 home that comes to $48,000. Not even a high school diploma was required. You were chopped up and fried and should feel proud to unhook yourself and get back to swimming again!

Now for gods sake - don't come up with the Republican knee jerk - "but what if everyone did that" - they won't! Get the hell out of the pot - and back on to firm ground. Reduce you debts to nothing, save money and by the way - you can repair your credit in no time - (be sure to keep all the credit cards you have that you owe the least on, and if you don't have a credit card problem, then just walk away from your mortgage - you can have great credit within a couple of years and a whole lot of cash and peace of mind in no time at all).

It is not an opinion that home prices will continue to fall in the crust areas - on average they will fall for some time. Home prices always have a relationship with rental rates and the ratios are way off.

You have to be very unclear in the head in order to be wanting to purchase a home at this time in the crust areas. Rental of the same property is typically 1/2 the cost. The chance of the home going up in value in the next 5 years is almost zero and your down payment of lets say $100,000 has a VERY good chance of appreciation - even if you don't do anything with it!

US Dollars will rise over the next few years as deflation deepens. Your cash will buy more and more. If you had bought a home in October of last year you would have lost value. If you had invested say $100,000 in Ford you would have about $3 - $400,000 as of this date.

Panic will bring a short term rise in Gold but it will fade - we are broke - let me repeat - we are broke, and deflation will be the rule for several years. When people have little money and large assets are losing value, they do not go spending on Gold. It will probably not crash from todays levels but it will end up lower by double digit percentages.

Why all this fiscal information?

Because Democrats just sit there and don't frame the issue of our current economic situation as being the advent of the "self-regulation" God of Bush and his treasonous cronies. Democrats will take the blame for this mess as they refuse to educate the population on the fact that no one spends more money than Republicans, that the massive debt was brought to us by the Republicans and that accepting fear and lies was a road map of destruction and stupidity. Republicans also ran the most inept war in the History of the United States and they continue to be the worst leaders on foreign policy.

Our son was born with relatively few complications. My wife had a mild level of preclampsia that was monitored for 7 days while we tried to induce a natural birth. This did not work and the birth was cesarean. Total bill: $146,000.00. later negotiated down to $96,000. That's roughly $90,000 more than any other country in the world for the same service.

I was recently in France where I had a rough bout with sciatica. I could not move and had to call a doctor - it was Sunday. He arrived 40 minutes later, gave me a shot, a prescription and everything total was 92 euro.
If this had happened in the US, the Bill would be above $8,000.00. Given that we were on the 4th floor and the elevator could not handle more than 2 people, the ambulance would require several people to carry me down the stairs (Our doctors don't do house calls). The emergency room charges are through the roof and the shot and drug charges alone would be 3 times the total in France.
Why we fear change so much is beyond my comprehension - but we are among the most change resistant countries in the world. Bought and paid for by the corporate interests and the horrendous fear of words like "socialism".
It really is time for total change in our political campaign system - and I mean total change.

Newt Gingrich established the rigid partisan politics that is now a mainstay of the Republican loyalist only agenda - he started with the GoPac tapes.

The sad truth of Reagan's administration is to slash taxes, deconstruct society as we know it, disregard law and the constitution, and last but not least: Spend money by the dump truck load!

Ronald Reagan was the biggest spender in the history of the world - he got his practice in California where as Governor he took a large surplus and turned it into a deficit - and where he increased overall spending by 12.5% over Gov. Brown's administration.

Republicans simply spend money like drunken lottery winners while cutting taxes for those making at least 20,000 per month. Its what they do - its what they love - their modus operandi is the following:
Get in office, cut taxes for the wealthy, rape and pillage the American people for every nickle available, go hell bent into debt and embed the entire government with Republican operatives.
Leave only a trail of indebtedness for the Democrats. When they get into office, constantly accuse them of big spending and how taxes will kill all incentive to do anything. And why not? The Democrats willingly wear a bulls eye target for just such a purpose - they were born as a deer looking into headlights. Dump truck Spending is what the Republicans are all about yet its the Democrats moniker and they wear it like happy little drones.

Ronald Reagan was the great liar, a pillar of charisma and a statistical manipulator the likes of which we had never seen. He came into office with a US debt of less than half a trillion and left with a debt of over 3.5 trillion. He removed 3.5 million people from the statistics regarding the unemployed and thereby transformed the unemployment figures that we remember from his time in office. He removed the Housing index from the inflation index thereby transforming the inflation figures that we remember from his time in office. He initiated the greatest push to jail citizens in the history of Western Civilization and our jailed population would now qualify as the 6th largest nation in the world.

It is not possible to provide aid that will stop home prices from falling to the equilibrium levels that they need to reach. It is also completely ignorant to believe that any aid package can stop the cascading decline in home values except for the briefest of moments. The stimulus bill provided by Obama is a weak kneed and ineffective approach to decreasing foreclosures.

It is very clear, if you are not still under the influence of the "kool aid", that home prices need to drop by large percentages in order to get back to realistic ratios between the local income of an area and the price of a home. In the most affluent sections of our country, namely the coastal areas and those areas nearest major waterways (claiming the vast majority of this nations wealth, top colleges, intellectual property and invention), this decline in home values has only just begun.

In the mid section of the country the stimulus package will help those wanting to purchase homes for the first time - and since the homes in that area of the country have in many cases already fallen to pricing levels in line with historic "income to home price" ratios, people purchasing those homes will generally not see their new homes continue to depreciate much and the ground lost should be quickly recovered in 3 to 5 years.

In what I call the crust areas of the US, (those areas near the coasts - within 100 miles - and those areas near major water ways - within 100 miles, the decline in home values has only just begun. During the Bush administration when fiscal oversight was blinded by the ridiculous mantra of "self regulation" the liar loan became the loan of choice in these areas. Home prices soared way beyond the historic ratios because loans were based on fantasy incomes and in many cases a 50% adjustment is not enough to correct the situation. Taunting first time home buyers in with a reassurance that "Now is the time to buy" may seem correct at a 30% decline in price, but in reality the new home owner will be significantly under water within 6 to 12 months - and this is not an opinion - water will seek its level and the level will be somewhere near the historic ratios - which most of these areas are still a considerable distance from reaching.

My personal advice to the average person underwater or moving into that position is the following:
1. Do not use up your savings trying to save your home.
2. Do not go into credit card debt trying to save your home.
3. Do not chase the "equity" you once had, but rather as you would in a poker game - you have to ask yourself the real question "should I be in this game anymore?" If their is not enough money on the table to make it worthwhile or if you no longer have the energy or funds necessary to play - then leave. And don't leave penniless - don't leave divorced - don't leave after one of you commits suicide.

If you hand them back the keys to your house and leave with all of your credit card balances still low or at zero, and with your 401K still untouched and all the savings you had still intact - your credit will be in fine shape within just a couple of years and you can typically move into a rental for less than half the taxes and payments you were making with your underwater house. If you bought a house that was 900,000 in 2007 and when you leave in 2009 it is worth 650,000 - just know that if it was 380,000 in 1999, it will reach somewhere near that level or lower again in a fairly short time.

Why will houses continue the fall?
Incomes have not risen for over 10 years - with the exception of the meteoric rise in incomes for those in the upper 1%. Qualifying for a mortgage is now like it used to be - you have to actually be employed and prove you have the savings and equities that you say you have in order to qualify for a loan. You also have to show that you will have a stake in the loan - namely - a real down payment.
This means that in an area with an average income of 80,000 the average price of a home will not tolerate 800,000 but it will tolerate the historic ratios of between $240,000 and 400,000. (3 to 5 times the average income). Some areas historically have ratios as high as 8 to 1, but if most of your neighbors do not own Bentleys and Helicopters, you are not in one of those very rarefied areas.

Democrats need to realize that homes need to fall to the historic ratios - propping them up will only delay the organic processes needed to level the field. Real solutions will be allowing the investors to take the losses that they are entitled to for allowing themselves to become drunk so quickly after the last infallible god - the god of the DotCom bubble. Investing in businesses that often did not even have a business plan was absurd then and investing in home loans as high as 23 times average income were just as absurd during the Bush Jr. kool-aid party.

We are having the Bush Hangover - are you enjoying it?
We need to recoup and get our heads on straight again - fix our bridges, build our schools, reinvest in our intelligence again - seek out leaders that really are the best and the brightest and build a real future.
We need to clean out the scum that has been strategically embedded within the government by the Rove's and Cheney's - put them in prison - actively go after the criminals of the past 8 years. Restore our military leadership, our world leadership by taking our foot prints off the faces of our allies. The foot prints left there by the Bush Jr. regime.

We need to embrace real change - Whole Earth change - completely new thinking - We need to shake off the weakness that has become so ingrained in the Democrats - We are certainly as weak as the Republicans have been feckless and greedy. We need to shake off this hangover and clean up the drunken mess of the last 8 years. Put the criminals behind bars and let the investors take their hits like the fools they were.

It is becoming hard to believe that the Democrats can be so utterly blind, so completely incapable of pointing out the disastrous conduct of the current Bush Jr. administration. The lending and foreclosure mess that we are dealing with is not the fault of the lenders - it is the fault of an administration that does not believe in regulations. The World Bank and fiscal leader in Europe and elsewhere were screaming at the US to rein in our lenders and everyone in the business here knew things were getting out of hand. Stewardship of our nation and its business practices is an intergal part of what governing is all about.
George Bush Jr. is the leader in world spending - he and his Republican party are in fact the biggest spenders in the history of the world. If it were not for the massive and misguided growth in housing over most of their incompetent rein in the White House, they would have little to show but the phenomenal deficits and 60,000 dead and maimed soldiers exchanged for a petty dictator in the land of Oil.

The Democrats vilify the lenders, while it was everyone involved in the Real Estate business. Did they as a group become predatory? Yes, and our children become predatory if we leave the cookie jar open all the time. That is why we require certain terms for access to the cookie jar and reasonable regulation of lending is no different. The Real Estate agents, the Appraisers and the Lenders were allowed to run ammuck and the public wanted to believe that homes should sell for 20 times the prevailing income (complete nonsense from any historical perspective).

National College:
An entire spectrum of college courses that can be received online and that are practically (if not totally) free. In-person testing that can lead to certification in those courses. Grades can be optional in addition to pass/fail proficiency testing. Passage of a critical mass of courses towards a particular goal will result in a "scholarship" to any needed brick and mortar classes.
A final accredited degree will result with full passage of all requirements.

Our children and young adults are forced to conform and push and shove their way into the best colleges. Unless you know how to play the game, you don't stand a chance for the best that our country offers. College is becoming an elite option and it is breaking the parents bank. Students graduate with no room to breath and reflect, they graduate with one big worry - how do I pay this huge student debt?
The United States of America has had a negative savings rate for over 24 months - the last time we saw this sort of negative savings rate was just before the Great Depression.
College fees have skyrocketed during this administration - it has encourage these rate increases by its massive misguided drunken spending - and a general fear of progress and science.

National College - because if our children can prove they can do the work, we need their help to make our worlds dreams come true.

Incompetence at every level - political framing - framing an issue

Please read all of our postings with less regard to content and more regard to the framing pieces that are in bold. We are here to explore the framing of issues by the constant use of certain words and phrases for the purposes of creating and directing the atmosphere in which a subject is thought of.
As an example, the republicans all use the words "micro manage" in the argument presented against the democrats attempts to curtail our involvement in the civil war in Iraq.
We all know that: too many cooks spoil the broth and therefore micro managing is inherently wrong.
The word "mistake" is used by all republicans with regard to the blatant political firings managed by Gonzales. "Mistake" frames the action to our internal wiring: everybody makes mistakes, when you make a mistake you learn from it, get up, dust yourself off and move on.
We want to forgive a mistake and so from the outset, a person involved in having committed a mistake, no matter how large, committed a mistake - something we all do frequently.
Gonzales did not make a mistake - he made a conscious decision to lie and deceive. What is amazing about effective framing - as in the case above - is that very soon even the democrats and the media use the framing. And every time anyone uses it in virtually any context it validates the framing.

We would like your input on the following framing we are proposing. This is framing that we intend to move into the internal wiring of Americans during the next election.

Why Iraq

There are now two reasons we continue with the oil war in Iraq:

1. Big Oil (is there any other kind) needs the Iraq reserve (however unlikely that is now).

2. Big Oil needs to stop oil prices from soaring - a complete civil war will create high gas prices for what may be a prolonged enough time to finally get the US on to Electric Cars and cars that regularly get 50 to 100 or more miles to a gallon.

As gas soared to over $3.00 a gallon, Hybrids came into their own and sold like hotcakes. The average Japanese Hybrid gets 42 miles to a gallon, the average US Hybrid get a meager 25 miles to a gallon. The US auto makers have never taken alternate energy seriously and neither have the big oil companies.

Big Oil must stop total upheaval in Iraq for the sake of gas pricing stability and so our government is dedicated to "staying the course" in Iraq.

We were certainly never there for the sake of saving lives. For a mere pittance, we could have saved millions of lives in Africa over the same period. Oil is and will continue to be the reason we are in Iraq.

How do we say this in a way that can be remembered by the American populace?

"We have the technology right now to cut our dependence by 20% per year and to be energy independent within 10 years. Our lobbyists give us every incentive not to."

"The biggest patriots in this country are working on Electric Vehicles - producing them, designing them, improving them - Electric cars work now, they have worked in the past and we have the technology for them now and into the future."

I was just watching the American version of the BBC - "BBC World" on our national public television stations.

It was reported that American Automobile Manufacturers were experiencing a substantial drop in sales as they were grappling with high labor costs and soaring health care costs.

Frame it this way:

"One day we wake up with rising fuel costs, stratospheric home costs and "self regulation" by our drug companies that has amounted to pillaging, and you've got a real demand for sleek smaller cars with great gas mileage - (a market segment that the US auto makers skipped)."

"This is a repeat of the late 70s when there was a waiting list to purchase Hondas - smaller fuel efficient cars against rising costs everywhere. "

Getting to an agenda

Fiscal Responsibility - constantly rebuke the republican "Big Spending" policies - constantly putting us in "Debtors Prison".

Change the voting day to Saturday (not Sunday) for all elections.
Constantly speak of the republicans being in bed with the "elite" and completely ignoring the people that " drive cars not helicopters" and do the real work of america. People that work 2 and 3 jobs to make ends meet cannot be expected to take any time off to vote, and everyone needs a level opportunity to vote. We have also seen a pileup of voters after sunset and in the past two elections in particular, many have simply been denied their rights and virtually all of them have been minority voters. (Absolutely not Sunday or our religious leaders will be too tempted to become politicians).

Universal Health care and not the "self regulation" we have seen over the past five years that has resulted in hyper inflation of drugs and health plans - make "self regulation" a dirty word - kill it - stomp it into the ground.
The democrats need to embrace a "Can Do" attitude - The United States of America was able to go to the moon - we established the greatest democracy in history - we can take care of our children's health, our elderly, and we can do it better than all the other industrialized nations that already have such plans and take care of their families. This is a family value issue and American needs to value its families health and not the companies that have been pirating their money during the current republican majority administration.

We need to make some reforms that will take effort and stir controversy. Reforms that will make us a better country, a stronger country and take down the walls that have been building far too long. Communication is the bridge to understanding and wisdom - we need work in this area. For over 200 years we have and continue to be a collection of independent spirits working together as We the People of the United States of America. Too many of us cannot understand and appreciate what each of us have to say, not because we do not welcome anothers thoughts, not because we are afraid, not because we are from another culture - it is far more simple than that: We really cannot understand because we do not speak the language. We need to implement a requirement that everyone entering the country - whether through marriage or otherwise, be required to complete 600 hours of english language courses. This is already done in other countries and it is important that it be done now in this country.
(I will add more on this later, but several reasons for this bill I hope are obvious: Tons of blue collar workers and red state voters will love this - republicans and democrats alike. We need a leadership issue that everyone can rally around. The republicans will not really be able to argue with this, but we can constantly pretend to be adamantly arguing with them and lead the public to believe that they don't like it for some odd reason. The bill will be good for democrats - "understanding rather than fear" work for democrats and against the republicans. Better language skills will increase the power of the the work force, diminish what amounts to as "domestic slavery", diminish forced prostitution and a host of other language related shortfalls.
And - it will seem like real leadership - which it is!.

Change the prison system - get rid of so many behind bars that were perpetrators of victimless crimes.......
(This is a no brainer - we can bring up fiscal responsibility, and a whole host of republicans that support the idea - again a family values arguement: EG; Many of our children make stupid mistakes and poor choices that effect them and their families deeply. They need help and counseling and intervention - all things we know to be the best and most economical ways in which to deal with their mistaken behavior. Good family values clearly tells us that these are not the people to send to prison, to expose them to disease and brutes and the worst of humanity for their victimless mistakes. It is not just the best way to deal with them, it is not just the most economical way to deal with them, it is how we should show this group our love for them and our enduring hope for them.

A new day for energy and science:
We embrace science and intelligence - we embrace the scientific community and put forth the leadership and ideas that our earth is precious and it needs our attention now more than ever. The Space program is great and has been great but we truly need to ask if spending less than 1% of 1% of the Nasa budget on the study of our Oceans is any longer a prudent spending of our resources. We need to increase the study of our oceans and our lands and our air and our water because these are family values, our earth is our families future as it is now and we need to know its heart and lungs and blood before it becomes ill and we know too little to balance it back to health.
We need to embrace alternate energy technology and put our best and brightest to work on implementing what we know and creating more and better technologies for the future. We will create jobs by becoming the world leader in this arena, and we will save money and lower the cost of energy and energy dependence for everyone in this country - even the lower 98% of us who drive cars and not helicopters.

We see that the Evangelical religion has taken over West Point and other military academies - we see only the lowest of the military being tried and sentenced for aggregious crimes, yet we know in our hearts that "We the people" did not ask for our young men and women to be brainwashed in their beliefs, nor did we ask them to follow their commanders and go to prison from their commanders misdirection. Our military is the greatest there is on earth - and let know one think that this is a slight on them, but the military needs to be far more accountable and far more open that it has been over the last five years. Open ended checks to private military companies with no real accounting for billions of our dollars and our children's dollars is an was never acceptable. Did you know that in many cases we pay private companies to escort our own military in Iraq.
The private security soldiers make over $1,000 a day and the companies that pay them make far more than that. Many of our best fighters leave our military as soon as they can and move to civilian posts in the same war because we pay companies that pay them $30,000 a month or more to leave us!

Trend Raises Fear of Spending Slowdown if Housing Prices Stagnate

ORLANDO, FL, Sept. 29 /CNW/ - Despite fears in the marketplace about a U.S. housing bubble, the majority of homeowners (nearly 60 per cent) expect the value of their homes to increase by at least five per cent annually during the next several years, according to an online survey of 1,001 American consumers released today by RBC Capital Markets, the corporate and investment banking arm of RBC Financial Group (RY: TSX and NYSE). In fact, a quarter of those respondents (24 per cent) even said they expect annualized gains of 10 per cent or more over the next few years. Conversely, a scant three per cent of respondents expect their home values to decline over the next few years.

The findings were released today at the RBC Capital Markets Consumer Conference, which was attended by over 250 institutional investors and retail executives from across the nation.

In addition, 85 per cent of homeowners responding experienced real estate gains over the last three years and over 70 per cent experienced gains in excess of 10 per cent during this timeframe. However, only 10 per cent of the respondents believed that rising home values had affected their spending habits. Further, over half of those surveyed firmly disagreed with the notion that real estate gains impacted their spending even though half of all respondents (51 per cent) either sold their home or borrowed against their home equity in some fashion. Ironically, those that disagreed most with the idea that real estate gains had impacted their spending were those in higher income brackets (defined as those making over $100,000) and those that had already experienced the biggest real estate gains. Ultimately, these two groups were also the most aggressive in extracting equity (approximately 65 per cent).

"Not only are most people expecting big real estate gains to continue, the vast majority of people don't believe these gains have impacted their spending. These opinions run contrary to most data in the marketplace regarding the real estate wealth effect," said Scot Ciccarelli, managing director, Equity Research at RBC Capital Markets. "We believe these findings raise a major question. In our minds, the question is whether people have spent more freely than they otherwise would have because of their real estate gains and don't even recognize it. If that's the case, a simple slowing of real estate gains, not just a fall in housing prices, could have a significant adverse impact on spending patterns."

Further, just over 60 per cent said rising gas and energy prices were already causing them to cut back on their spending. Not surprisingly, the impact has been more heavily skewed towards the lower income brackets (under $50,000) than those in the higher income brackets (over $100,000). "Rising energy prices are essentially creating a flat tax that is affecting lower income consumers at a disproportionate rate and supports anecdotal evidence in the marketplace over the past two years that companies more levered towards higher-end consumers have largely outperformed those that cater to lower-end consumers," said Ciccarelli.

Finally, by a two to one ratio, people are more positive about their personal financial situation than they are on the broader economy. On average, just under 40 per cent of respondents were optimistic about their personal financial situation and just over 30 per cent were concerned or pessimistic. On the flip side, however, only 20 per cent of the respondents were optimistic about the broader economy while just over 50 per cent were concerned or pessimistic about the economy. Not surprisingly, those that were the most optimistic about their personal financial situation were those in the upper income categories and those that had experienced the biggest real estate gains. "This outlook seems to cut to the heart of the American consumer. People seem to be conscious of the macroeconomic headwinds facing them like rising energy prices, the War on Terror, and the growing federal deficit and the impact it can have on others.

However, they are less inclined to believe they can be affected by these same factors. Ultimately, it is this optimism that keeps the US spending engine in tact," said Ciccarelli. "While energy prices are certainly disconcerting, it is this real estate wealth effect that we are most concerned about and should be the primary focus of investors."

The RBC Capital Markets survey was conducted during the week of September 19, 2005, and included 1,001 online respondents. Stamford, Connecticut-based InsightExpress assisted RBC Capital Markets in the survey. The margin of error for the survey was plus or minus 3 per cent.

It's interesting that 19% of the US population prior to the last election believed they were in the upper 2% income bracket. This is probably largely due to the fact that Democrats did not mention that you have to average an income of $20,000 per month to be in that bracket.

Over the last few months I have had several requests for loans by people wanting to borrow money in order to pay their mortgage and get them "by" in addition to eliminating the credit card debt they eliminated the last time they took out a loan.

Fairly soon the US will owe twice what we have ever owed - thats double the Regan debt which was about 5 times any previous administration.

From my perspective its like a bunch of people in a building during the rise of a ponzi scam - know one thinks the roof will fall on them.

Cons:

"We will not and cannot put forth a timeline for with-drawl - it would be an invitation to disaster and set out a road map for the insurgents. We will not withdraw until the New Iraqi police force is able to defend the people of Iraq."

Sounds pretty good - most democrats are paralized by this - staring in to the microphones with jaws dropped and saying things like: "This is an ill fought and unorganized blah blah ...waste of money........our children........we can't continue to...............................zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz."

While profits are through the roof for the seven largest companies in Silicon Valley over the past three years - up by an average of 500%, employment has declined by nearly 20,000.
A quick review of the general nature of the "recovering economy" here in the USA is that the divide between the rich and the middle class is becoming a chasm. We are becomming a nation of Cake Eaters and cake servers, while for all the religious zealots efforts, the new god is Real Estate!
Real Estate holds us in his hands and nurtures those that buy. He is a compassionate god, not caring where, why, or when you buy - all purchases are good, and he rewards all who pay homage to him in high profits and many refinancings.

His flock goes forth teaching in his name the rewards to be reaped by beleif in this great and always profitable god. And in all their teaching, they use one small fragment of a sentence that lays their claim to never being wrong. That one small fragment of a sentence is the following:

"over time"

Here is an example of the usage in a sentence:
"With our God Real Estate, you can never lose money over time"

Here is another example:

Over time this country has never seen a general movement in the value of our God Real Estate that has been anything but up, up, up!

These are true statements and will always be true - so help me god, for ever and ever and ever amen.

Actually, if you take the fragment "over time" out of the preaching it all falls apart. The Great God of Real Estate reminds us of all the great gods of the past, and perhaps the greatest god - the god of Tech Stocks.
Properly worded, these Gods can preach to everyone a true teaching that can only be understood as the truth because it is predicated on an inargueable fact. However, if we employ philosophy and look into the actual meaning and logic of it all, something surfaces immediatly. Its Bullshit!

Real Estate is a commodity that goes up, down and sideways in value. It is true that overall, it has moved up in value as the population on this planet has increased, and that is true of many things of intrinsic value. It is also true that we live and breath on an everyday level and sometimes Real Estate goes down in areas for several years or even decades. It is also true that sometimes it is fairly predictable when this might happen.

Some examples are as follow:

A nuclear disaster in an area will probably be followed by a period of downward property values in that area.

An loss of jobs or a general decline in incomes in an area will generally be followed by a decline in property values in that area - especially if the prices have been skyrocketing while the general earning power and the general number of employed workers has declined drastically at the same time.

These are striking and obvious reasons for a decline in property values and any fool would examine vary carefully any investments in areas such as these - unless of course they are simply in love with these areas for sentimental reasons or they are ill-equiped and unable to comprehend the nature of their "investment".

Everything is clearly pointing to a recovering economy and thank god housing prices can continue to rise forever and ever amen - an amazing feat during a time of years of decreasing income and savings.

The administration is happy about a great many things - one of them is the election of Fundamental Extremists leaders in Iran. If we make the big bang in their own backyard - it will not only befuddle them, but if they join us we can
really begin denting this idiots image and platforms.
We can call out "Incompetence", we can shout "fiscal deception" - and when we are in their own backyards we can bring up the rediculus spending policies of the idiot, (by stating the stats in understandable figures like - "he's spent 25000 for every man, woman, and child in this great nation."

You may not be onboard with the last point, but the economy is going to tank - hard and fairly soon - when even the great Alan Greenspan answers the question: "Sir, how do you explain the fact that while the Fed Rate has increased 1.5 points over the last year, the interest rates have remained the same?"

This is a big signal that the pressures that have been applied to cool the markets have not had the desired effect.

Its interesting, just a few days ago I mentioned a position I had several years ago regarding pushing for very strong Identity Theft laws.

Today this is a focus subject on "The News Hour with Jim Lehrer"

Democrats could be standing up for the protection of our identities - and they could tie it to much harsher laws with a prudent financial reduction in victimless crime sentencing - as well as a one time release of some of the current inmates.
Bingo - they would be in the news - looking as strong vanguards for meaningful prosecution and they could tie it to something the Republicans would not like or support - though enough republicans will jump the fence to befuddle the rightists.
OR?

Will they give it to the Republicans - let them once again become the protectors of our free America and Americans in general? Almost assuredly they will pass the baton of opportunity.

Write your friends that are walking upright! Don't waste it on the squids.

The Stock Market & The Annual Decline

Its not just the price of gas that's got the market tanking - its nearing the annual decline we see every year about a month before taxes.

We should see steeper declines this year for several reasons, and if you are a player - sell now and buy after April 15 which should be a low. We should hit the 1800s fairly rapidly and could easily dip lower.

Time to switch over to health and drug stocks - they should have a big bang after the low, particularly with the new anti-consumer anti-class-action law. The imbecile in office is also very dedicated to high drug price supports and so the drug lords should be taking in a huge rake from us little folks in little old USA - god I wish we had the buying power of Canada!.

We are also winding down the available funds for Iraq and with much of the war buildup over, we will and have already started to see a rapid downward spin in the Durable Goods sector - I'm not sure if you know, but as an example: The day before Thanksgiving two years ago, we were told how the durable goods manufacturing sector was making a healthy stride - "Strong Growth Reported for the fifth month in a row!!" - we were not told that we had an approx: 28% growth in Defense related durable goods and that in the non-defense sector the growth was little over 1%.
If you need a reminder - the five months in a row was 6 months after the War in Iraq started.

Why Democrats do not make this stuff known at the time is beyond me.

Gas, steel and concrete prices will not be going down much - China is building like crazy and buying up gas and oil - in Iran and elsewhere.

The Imbecile in office is doing everything in his power to galvanize Europe and everyone else - and he is really doing a top job. Unless the idiot(our taxes)bails out Boeing and McDonald Douglas, as I suspect he is already doing, the stocks in AirBus should do well as they move into an even more dominant position. Foreign Auto makers should also do well as the American auto manufacturers have had little interest in the booms we will be seeing in Hybrids and alternate fuel vehicles.
Overall Auto sales will have some trouble as the USA becomes increasingly tapped out.
Fewer refinancings and no more Bush Bucks to spend - he's spent some 25,000 for every man, woman and child here in this country. And speaking of offshoring the next big huge economic booms - we've got religious freaks trying to bar the Stem Cell Initiative in California.

Two other items will be taking their toll:
1. Absurd housing prices will cool, but the after effect is already hitting us and it will make itself known soooon. Americans will have less to spend - they are spending way too much on mortgages - I'm not talking about interest rates here - I'm simply saying they are in over their heads - Super Loose lending has created lots of home owners, and we are all in for a rude surprise as the Bankruptcies soar even higher than the all time highs they have been hitting during this entire mis-administration.
2. The increase in Gas Prices - all of the millions of commuters will have several hundred less to spend every month.

For the Players: Humvees will be on sale - bid low! Forclosures will continue to gain momentum - hold cash - it will be king - Liquidate if you have not already!
If you've got any extra single family residences - Get the hell off them by spring,
or better yet - NOW! Spec Builder? - offer 10% off for a complete pre-purchase.

Final Note:
When Alan Greenspan was asked why interest rates had actually declined over last year even though we have had a 1.5% increase in Prime, he said:
"I'm stumped"

Exactly what do you think will happen when we suddenly wake up and feel the increase?
Nothing is saying "soft landing".

Lawsuits moved to Federal Courts and Drug companies bring back drugs - Coincidence?

On Friday, February 18th, our godless president signed into law a real road block for the little guy:

On his knees giving lip service to the corporate pavers - he once again helped them pave the way to cheaper and smoother sailing when it comes to curbing Death Technology.

As we have discussed, Death Technology is a leading cause of getting things done: Big class action lawsuits
brought about because of hundreds and even thousands of complaints and often many Injuries and Deaths, resulting in new or alternate technology that ends the problem. It simply costs too much to kill and injure and ignore people anymore and the company is forced to come up with something better.

Class Action Lawsuits are good for all of us:

They allow the "little guy" to group together and share the enormous expense of effective litigation against a corporate giant with a team of full time lawyers.
Class Action Lawsuits help make a better and safer world by forcing bad and dangerous products/situations/practices to be made safer, better, more efficient or be removed altogether.
Class Action Lawsuits often do what No "Self Regulation Board" Has Ever Done - Regulate!

Now here's my observation and question for you:

In the same week as this new law was signed - even before the Shrub had stood up - several well known drug companies put their recently withdrawn drugs back into the market fray:

An FDA advisory panel decided that Vioxx, Celebrex and Bextra carry cardiovascular risks but recommended that the FDA support their being marketed. Merck is considering putting Vioxx back on the market if the FDA approves and if competing drugs stay in the market.

Since 1990, 14 drugs approved by the FDA have been withdrawn for safety reasons - only one has been reintroduced.

Do you think the new anti-consumer law and the drug comebacks are a Coincidence?

A Holiday for Voting!

I was pushing for this in 2001 – We need to either change the election day or make it a holiday. Several reasons:
1. We will gain about 3% of the vote
2. It’s a vote getter on both sides of the fence
3. It’s a vote getter on all sides of age demographics
4. It’s very appealing to Blue Collar voters which the Republicans have increasingly been stealing away.
5. There is no downside – none.

Along side the above, I was also pushing for several other things, some of which will - unfortunately - have so much less impact than they would have had:

I would call for huge increases in the penalties for Identity Theft. This would have resonated very well with all demographics, and it still will, but in four years it way have been dealt with fairly well.
I would have tied those increases in penalties with decreases in penalties for victimless crimes (such as possession of personal use drugs) – and I would have constantly brought up fiscal responsibility with this. Tying these together would have made it very hard for the Republicans to bandwagon, while at the same time many Republican voters would see it as reasonable and timely.

Lastly - I was trying to formulate a law of statistical balance that basically said:

There will be a direct correlation between the teacher/student ratio and the prisoner/inmate ratio.
How to make that correlation was not an easy matter, but somehow bringing up our prison state and the absurd imbalance we see in what we spend and how we spend it – and on whom we spend it would still be a great way to show clarity of thinking in the right areas and how to finance our thinking. Given todays terrorist activity, it would have shown fiscally resposible foresight into the future cost of more inmates because of those we capture from anti-terrorist efforts.

Democrats have the opportunity to become the fiscally responsible party – god forbid they actually step up to the plate.

Democrats also have the opportunity to show themselves as the best leaders in World Security and Terrorist situations. We decided to skip that opportunity by not going in the direction Bill Clinton advised, and having General Wes Clark as our winning presidential nominee, with all of the enormous sucess in his campaigns abroad.

So what's with all this anti-christian stuff?

I am writing this to assure you that I do not have anything against Christians or people of “Faith based” religions per se. I do however have a problem with devolution. If the current inertia is allowed to continue, there should be a real fear for what is to come.

Our spiritual growth as a humanity has been slowly moving forward. It is in part due to many of the religions that I seem to condemn. We no longer have much Animism, and there has been a real drop in Cannibalism – though millions still practice ritual cannibalism openly throughout the world every week.

As we have evolved we have occasionally had those times, usually several centuries, where for some reason we give too much free rein to religious rightists and everything goes wrong. Suddenly we find ourselves burning our libraries, fearing our neighbors, hating our differences and being ashamed of our bodies and all the natural tendencies that come with them.

The time is at hand wherein we have reached a crossroads – a brink of inertia that must be stopped with a Mac Truck!

Pope John Paul II is on the fast track to become a Nobel Peace Prize winner. Here is a man that has presided over 30 years of increasing perversion within his church. He has actively participated in the denial, hiding and spinning of the problem. Thousands of children in our nation have been molested by those of all ranks in his charge and thousands upon thousands more in countries all over the world.
Pope John Paul II has actively – actually he has spearheaded, the campaign to spread disease and death with his anti-condom policies – he has done NOTHING to ask those in his charge to stop spreading clear misconceptions about the efficacy and use of condoms. Millions of people have died because of his firm and unbending stupidity and yet he is up for a Peace Prize!

If Democrats continue to say nothing in the face of such utterly disgusting and immoral behavior – If we continue to allow these self appointed “vanguards” of morality no real test of what that means – If we continue to give out our icons a glory they so heartily do not deserve – then suddenly we will wake up one day and discover that they are not just our false hero’s, they are running the place. When they are running the place it will become even more of a brainwashing facility than we are seeing today.

How is it that in the United States of America we cannot get good news without digging for it?
Why are so many people so afraid?
What in hell has happened to the Democrats?
Why are the Republicans embracing someone that is so reckless and nearsighted?
Why are so many Americans embracing the very religious values that lead to terrorism?

The Brainwashing that is going on is incredible – how resistant are you to what you are reading here? Probably very resistant – it may be that I am a very poor writer, but it also has to do with the line of bullshit you were fed from your parents and ministers. Truth never was the goal – NEVER!
Protection , and pre-emption was always the goal. The brainwashing has taken over the brainwashers and the deed is done – most people inherit their beliefs – do we as a nation of primarily Christians question the validity of Christianity? HELL NO! Yet it is so utterly questionable.

My point is not to argue the validity of Christianity here, though I would be more than happy to enter into a dialogue about it. I do not support or deny it’s validity – but I do believe most people make liberal assumptions regarding it’s validity.

Democrats need to pair down this unwarranted enthusiasm for all things “God is a big part of my life”. We do not need to prove to the Godless rightists that we have god in our lives. We live and breathe a world view that trumps every fiber of their beliefs into the sewer.
Republicans believe in Death Technology:
1. “Don’t fix it until we are sued enough to make it impossible to do otherwise”
2. “Make laws wherever you can that make effective lawsuits very hard to bring about”
3. “Deny that it is a problem until it is undeniable”
4. “Once it becomes an obvious problem, make big pronouncements in favor of doing something, and then under-fund everything you are “doing about it”.
This scum is our moral voice? From the sticks of Middle American mind we are finding our leadership?

America has two hearts – they are the East & West Coasts – Two hearts that beat as one. We are the bringers of change, evolution, invention and society (as well as the vast majority of the money).
We should not apologize and prove ourselves for the swine of sentimental inaccuracies. 30 years ago we had a world of hippies changing the world – it’s interesting to find that in reality they had pretty much everything right!
From their (our) teaching about food, Women, the environment, love and religion, a war has been waged against what they have re-found for us, and that war is at it’s peak right now. Democrats have everything to be proud of and the Republicans have everything at sake for us to forget ourselves. We must not forget ourselves and we must not allow this religiosity to pave over our real human triumphs in self-awareness and wholesomeness. The Beatles, as it turns out, were not Satan's children after all.

Democrats must understand that we need to put the religious rightists in their place. If we do not, we will see our courts inundated with them and they will be there with the blessings of the public. We have absolutly no time to waste!

South Africa's death rate jumped 57 percent from 1997 to 2002

Statistics South Africa (Stats SA) shows reported deaths popped up to 499,268 in 2002 from 318,287 in 1997.
And folks - its worse now - not better!
the country's AIDS epidemic is wrecking havoc on the working-age population.

President Thabo Mbeki's government is in bed with our idoit president on how to deal with the problem:

Abstenence! Wonder of wonders - its not working - never has , never will! Not one study that teaching it works anywhere ever - yet this idots government teaches Abstenence to its marauding military and also all the Catholic associations with condom use - that it is unmanly, immoral, sperm is more important than human misery and death. The Catholic Church is telling people in countries stricken by Aids not to use condoms because they have tiny holes in them through which HIV can pass - potentially exposing thousands of people to risk.
The church is making the claims across four continents despite a widespread scientific consensus that condoms are impermeable to HIV.
The WHO has condemned the Vatican's views, saying: "These incorrect statements about condoms and HIV are dangerous when we are facing a global pandemic which has already killed more than 20 million people, and currently affects at least 42 million."
The organisation says "consistent and correct" condom use reduces the risk of HIV infection by 90%. There may be breakage or slippage of condoms - but not, the WHO says, holes through which the virus can pass .
Scientific research by a group including the US National Institutes of Health and the WHO found "intact condoms... are essentially impermeable to particles the size of STD pathogens including the smallest sexually transmitted virus... condoms provide a highly effective barrier to transmission of particles of similar size to those of the smallest STD viruses".
The Vatican's Cardinal Trujillo said: "They are wrong about that... this is an easily recognisable fact."
The church opposes any kind of contraception because it claims it breaks the link between sex and procreation - a position Pope John Paul II has fought to defend. (tried to defrock Mother Teresa for handing out condoms, of course now he's trying to make money on her)
In Kenya - where an estimated 20% of people have HIV - the church condemns condoms for promoting promiscuity and repeats the claim about permeability. The archbishop of Nairobi, Raphael Ndingi Nzeki, said: "Aids... has grown so fast because of the availability of condoms."
A Catholic nun (is shown in his special) advising her HIV-infected choirmaster against using condoms with his wife because "the virus can pass through".
In Lwak, near Lake Victoria, the director of an Aids testing centre says he cannot distribute condoms because of church opposition. Gordon Wambi told the programme: "Some priests have even been saying that condoms are laced with HIV/Aids."
Panorama found the claims about permeable condoms repeated by Catholics as far apart as Asia and Latin America.

Prior to shitting on our friends and allies, the United States was a huge magnet for the best and brightest students from all over the world. With an administration clearly bent against science and even trying to have creationism taught in our science classes, as well as an administration so out of touch with the higher concerns of global stuardship, a great many of the brightest young students are applying in droves to universities in Europe and elsewhere - but not in the US.

2. goodbye Stem Cell Research!

Our Incompetent C+ Jackass has driven offshore what may well prove to be the next dot com boom. Make no mistake, the dot com boom may have had a dip but it has been and continues to be a huge boon to our country. When your "god" teaches that a baby that has not been baptized and then dies goes to hell and eternal damnation - you are either godless or your god is an evil pathetic ass.
When your "god" teaches that if you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your personal lord and savior , and that if you die without have accepted him as such, then you go to hell and eternal damnation (even if you have never heard of him or the teachings)- you are either godless or your god is an evil pathetic ass.
When your "god" teaches that the spread of disease, misery and death in the millions is better than using science and wearing condoms, you are either godless or your god is an evil and pathetic ass.
With this group we can add the current pope of the catholic church - the ever backward pope John Paul, the overseer of millions dead on behalf of his policies, or perhaps his "gods" policies.

It is time that democrats do to the words "Christian Right" and "Fundamentalist" what the Republicans have done to the word "Liberal".
The Christian Wrong , the Fundamentalists, believe in a false god or at the least a diseased god akin to our view of the devil worshippers god. At the least they believe in a puny god of small minds and mind control through fear and again disease.

This fetid feckless group of moral pirates cannot be stomached by us any longer.

They should only be referred to as the depraved group they are - never given the benefit of doubt in any public arena, and thoroughly doused in the sober awareness of what their kind has wrought on the world in the 2000 years they have sporadically been given the girth to spew their menace.

All that is good of Christians has nothing to do with this group. Lies and fear mongering yield no applause from any god that is good or real, and least not humanity as we yearn to grow and understand our place in the universe.

The christian wrong - the christian fundamentalists - the extremists and the no so extreme encumber our growth spiritually, materially and naturally. Their false gods are excrement in our atmosphere, a disease and a virus.

The Democrats must stand tall and begin to call out this disease in our midst's and call them what they are: conniving lowly fearful preying creatures.

We have allowed christian rightists to pass for our higher conscience, usurp what we hold dear and debase the meaning of Family Values.

Is it Family Values to teach blind obedience?
Is it Family Values to teach against the proper care and stewardship of our planet earth?
Is it Family Values to teach that all of gods children are not treated equal by god?
Is it Family Values to teach that human sperm is more important than human life?
Is it Family Values to teach that the end justifies the means?
Is it Family Values to teach the subjugation of women?
